Visualization of retardation effects

Abstract

A program to deal with the physics of particles (3-dimensions), interacting in many different ways has been developed. In this program, called xyZET, the possibility of dynamically showing the electric field lines of a charge carrier with arbitrary motion has been included. This has been achieved in terms of a geometrical construction based on the Pages' Emission Theory (1), which is in complete agreement with the standard electromagnetic theory.
