Implemented algorithm
The simulation program CLOC (former TICS) has first been developed at IPN / Kiel under Smalltalk with an algorithm based on the so-called container model. This model describes the transport of matter between 2 neighboured containers with a linear relation between the difference of container content and current flow.
When applied to a circular system like the electric circuit, it provides correct final stationary states, for which Ohm´s law and Kirchhoff´s rules are valid. The transition processes leading to these stationary states are, however, rather retarded and correspond to circuits where the conductor capacities are dominant.
