The simulation program "TL-Transmission Line" is based on solutions of Maxwell´s equations in one dimension - the so-called transmission line equations. The developed solutions refer to long thin conductors where only changes in the longitudinal dimension are important and any changes in the vertical dimension can be neglected.
These disadvantages are offset by the fact that in the frame of classical physics the solutions are exact and correspond under all border and starting conditions to reality.
This offers the possibility to study in detail the transmission of pulses and current as well as reflection and superposition.
