As long as it was possible to use applets, screen space could be saved by integrating simulations as apples within web pages. Because of securiy reasons, however, the use of applets is no longer possible and Java programs can only be used as stand-alone applications. Screen space has therefore to be split up between such Java applications and other possibly necessary applications (WEB-page, text editor ...).

A hardcopy or an expended (second) sreen may be helpful to ease the space problem on the screen.
