General information

The simulation program "Java XYZ" is started by double clicking on the file name "java-XYZ.jar". The main simulation window shows a three dimensional cube where particle can be placed and the action of different forces can be simulated.
Additional windows with plenty of input options can be accessed from the top menu bar of the central simulation window.

Languages

The default language for the user interface is English.
Adaptation to other languages is possible and is done using the file "xyZETconfig.txt".This file has to be located in the same directory as the "java-XYZ.jar" file. It determines as follows the language of the user interface:

Mouse sensitive actions

The following actions can be performed using the mouse:

Rotation of the cube ->

Select the cube with the left mouse button, keep the button down and move the mouse.

Zoomimg ->

Activate the CRL key. Select the cube with the left mouse button, keep the button down and move the mouse

Moving the cube ->

Activate the Shift key. Select the cube with the left mouse button, keep the button down and move the mouse.

Moving an already placed particle ->

Activate the CTRL-key. Select the particle with the left mouse button and move the mouse with the left mouse button down.

Placing a spring between two already placed particles ->

Activate the Shift-key. Select one of the two particles with the left mouse button, and while keeping the button down, move the mouse pointer to the second particle and release the key and button.

Calling a spring-editor -> The same procedure as placing a spring

(Select one of the two particles with Shift key and left mouse button down, move the mouse pointer to the second particle and relase key and mouse button.
