The buttons at A in the Particle Management window allow to determine the type of the particle to be set. When this has been done the window "Particle Locator" opens, where the coordinates can either be entered numerically or by repeatedly activating the green arrows. Two different step sizes are possible. After activating the "set" button the particle is placed and further coordinates for next particles can be entered. Activating the "close" button closes the setting procedure
